One of the biggest weekends on the women’s rugby league calendar is coming to Wagga Wagga, with the 2026 NRLW Magic Round set to be played at Geohex Stadium on 1–2 August.
The event will bring every NRLW team to the Riverina, attracting players, supporters and visitors from across Australia while placing a national spotlight on Geohex Stadium and the region.
For Australian-made ground stabilisation manufacturer GEOHEX, the event represents more than just elite sport. As the naming rights partner of Geohex Stadium, it is an opportunity to celebrate regional Australia and the communities that have supported the business since it was founded.
Matthew Holloway, Owner and Founder of GEOHEX, said the company was proud to see the stadium host an event of national significance.
“Having the NRLW Magic Round played at Geohex Stadium is a major moment for Wagga Wagga and something we’re incredibly proud to be part of,” Mr Holloway said.
“Regional Australia has always been at the heart of our business. GEOHEX is used every day on farms, rural properties, commercial sites and homes across the country, so it’s fitting that one of the biggest weekends in women’s rugby league will be played at a stadium carrying our name.”
To celebrate the occasion, GEOHEX has partnered with its Riverina distributor, Absolute Mesh & Steel, to give one local winner the opportunity to receive a full pallet of GEOHEX, covering approximately 85 square metres—enough to transform a typical residential driveway or create a durable farm access road or parking area.
Manufactured in Australia from 100% recycled plastic, GEOHEX is a smarter alternative to expensive concrete, helping create strong, all-weather driveways, farm access roads and parking areas.
Mr Holloway said the NRLW Magic Round was a fitting opportunity to give something back to the local community.
“When we first established GEOHEX, we wanted to build an Australian business that would have a lasting impact in regional communities,” he said.
“Seeing Geohex Stadium host an event of this significance is a milestone our entire team is incredibly proud of. We hope everyone visiting Wagga Wagga enjoys a fantastic weekend and gets to experience everything the Riverina has to offer.”
