The Challenge
High-traffic routes between crib rooms, the scaffold yard, and plant areas required a durable surface that could handle constant daily use by personnel and light mining vehicles. The mine needed a rugged, low-maintenance, and reliable solution to keep operations moving safely.
The Solution
BHP installed GEOHEX® ground stabilisation panels, sourced through Blackwoods Newman, across main walkways and connecting paths. The interlocking, modular panels created a stable, slip-resistant surface capable of supporting both foot traffic and light vehicle loads.
The modular design allowed for fast installation and on-site adjustments, ideal for a busy mining environment where downtime is costly.
