A residential homeowner in Brisbane’s inner west sought a cost-effective, easy to install and aesthetically pleasing driveway surface to cover their existing, unsealed, sloping driveway.

Measuring 12m L x 4m W, the customer wanted a solution that could be installed quickly and used immediately once completed. The customer required a product that provided a long term and durable solution and could be trusted to stabilise the driveway without deterioration over time. Critical to success, was also addressing the driveway’s 20° uphill gradient.

After much research, the customer selected the GEOHEX™ Erosion Control System for the project, because the unique design would guarantee not only stability, but support a driveway with a gradient of up to 20° in either direction. GEOHEX™ can be used across sloping terrain, and gradients of up to 10° do not require pinning. For gradients between 10° – 20° we recommend pinning the pavers in each of the four corners to the substrate using a landscape screw or tent peg measuring 150mm – 200mm. This simple process of securing the GEOHEX™ paver to the substrate ensures that it remains in place – a fact we guarantee provided the installation is performed correctly as per our instructions.
